Congratulations to Mel Bryson and the crew of MAZU ....
off to the South Pacific with the Pacific Puddle Jumpers....
next stop, the Marquesas.
Well the time has finally arrived for Mazu to do what she was initially purchased for ... sail to the South Pacific.
We have been 'sail training' in Bandaras Bay where the wind blows 15-25 almost every afternoon and are
continually impressed by the Outbounds performance and sea kindly motion. The first weeks winds are not
predicted to be as strong as we would like but we've basically run out of things to do, so off we go. FYI, we
have had several cruisers say that the Outbound is their "dream boat".
Elaine and I are very, very happy at this point with Mazu. I am sure we won't be disappointed as we sail the Pacific.
Just received an email from Frannie B saying they averaged 7.4 Kts on 25 day passage from the Galapagos to Chile,
14 day of which were 'upwind'. Wow!
I want to again thank you for producing such a fine boat and being so helpful over the years after the delivery to us.
We will attempt to 'make you proud'.
